Western Australian wines from single regions. Ad Hoc typifies our philosophy of traveling the path of least resistance, by sourcing fruit from regions that suit the varietal. It’s about doing what comes naturally. Having got the winemaking framework right, we’ve been able to have a bit of fun with this range of single region wines, both in the winery and on the branding side. Ad Hoc wines are fresh, fruit-driven and as individual as their labels. They also offer exceptional value for money.
Annais, a selection of organic wines from the James Halliday 5 star winery Robert Oatley Vineyards and made by winemaking team, Debbie Lauritz and David Richards. The range consist of four wines from South Australia and Mudgee that reflect its name... Annais, meaning ‘pure, graceful’, traits we strive for in our delicious organic wines.
The Apostrophe wines are stylistic blends made from our Great Southern vineyards. Our field trials with new varieties have led us to these blends, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. These are whites and reds that belong together, just like wine and food belongs together. They’re possessive. Textural and delicious, they’re without oak character – the white having no oak whilst the reds spend a short time in old and large format barrels. Our Apostrophe wines are made to drink now with food.
Ara (pronounced are-ah) defines our philosophy. It is Maori for pathway or track and captures our journey and connection with our Marlborough home, our relationship with New Zealand’s environment and our adventurous spirit. As if New Zealand wasn’t already on the edge of the earth, wait until you’ve made the journey to Wairau Valley, Marlborough. At 41.51S 174.01E, we’re literally on the edge of the world. Wedged between rugged mountains on both sides and with two icy rivers cutting a track through, it’s an extreme place. This valley is the definition of raw, untamed, cool climate. To say this presents challenges is an understatement. But digging deep and working in harmony with the environment builds strong character – and strong character makes great wines. In fact, our winemaking and viticulture teams wouldn’t have it any other way. They live to embrace challenge – creating intensely flavoured wines that amplify Marlborough’s remarkable natural story. These strikingly different, complex wines illustrate our ‘Ara’ or path on the edge of the world.
Deeply rooted in the soils of Mendoza, crafted with the spirit of Argentina, and shared with the world, Argento embodies the essence of modern Argentina. Our story is simple – Argento is intrinsically entwined with its country of origin. When you drink our wines, you experience the real Argentina. In 1998 we recognized an opportunity to unlock the extraordinary potential of Malbec. Our team of winemakers set out with the goal of revealing its vibrant, velvety character and the intense flavors of Malbec grown at the foothills of the Andes. We are very proud of our country’s winemaking heritage and the unique terroir of Mendoza, and we are dedicated to crafting wines that emphasize the hallmarks of the Argento style – fruit purity, vibrancy and elegance.

Best’s has been making wines uninterrupted since 1866, striving to craft expressive, authentic regional wines in Victoria’s Great Western region. Best’s has been owned by two families since 1866 – the Best family, who founded the winery; and today, the Thomson family, having purchased the property after Henry Best’s death in 1920. Best’s is now run by Viv Thomson’s son, Ben Thomson, the fifth generation of the Thomson family to manage the winery. Best’s old vineyards, planted in the 1860s, are among the oldest and rarest pre-phylloxera plantings in the world. The invaluable Best’s Nursery Block contains almost 40 varieties (some unidentified to this day). Bodega Garzón is close to Punta del Este, La Barra, and Jose Ignacio - Uruguayan Paradise at its best with mesmerizing landscapes. Located eleven miles from the Atlantic Ocean, the estate has more than 1,000 small vineyard blocks covering its hillside slopes that benefit from varying microclimates, different levels of humidity, and intense canopy management. These factors allow the vines to develop with maximum exposure to the sun providing rich, expressive fruit. The vineyards are surrounded by a lush forest, rocky soils, boulders, and palm trees. Owned by renowned Argentinian business and wine man Alejandro Bulgheroni, Garzon opened in 2016 to introduce the world to the modern, ultra-premium Uruguay wine scene. The brand is fast breaking through all barriers in the wine industry and is setting new benchmarks for new wine brand introduction, wine tourism, design, technology, sustainability, viticulture and craft winemaking. In 2018, Garzon is the first winery from Uruguay to win the prestigious Wine Star Award from Wine Enthusiast Magazine in the USA for ‘New World Winery of the Year’.
At Bremerton you’ll experience the real Langhorne Creek, because only we do all the little things – in the vineyard, in the winery and at the cellar door. Rebecca and Lucy Willson became the first sisters to run a winery in Australia and have created an environment that not only produces the very best wine experience, but a sense of place that reflects their family’s ongoing commitment to the region. The Willson sisters love what they do and it shows in the wines they produce; rich in character to be enjoyed with good food, conversation and fun with friends. And everyone at Bremerton shares this passion – it’s more than a winery, it’s our life.

Much of Australia's premier winegrowing regions were profoundly influenced by volcanic activity of many millennia ago. "Chain of Fire" is the expert's term for a series of extinct volcanoes. Rich volcanic soils create ideal conditions for the growth of high quality grapes which we celebrate in this label featuring a blacksmith - in tribute to Vulcan, the Roman god of volcanoes, a supremely skilled artisan whose metal-working forge was a volcano.
In 1851, Charles-Camille Heidsieck founded a Champagne House to produce exemplary wines that reflected his personality and pioneering spirit. Focused on authenticity, refinement and dedication, Champagne Charles Heidsieck is, more than 150 years later, one of the most respected and desirable premium boutique Houses in France. Charles Heidsieck champagnes showcase a remarkably high proportion of reserve wines (up to 40%), a narrow selection of crus (5 to 60) as well as a prolonged ageing in its chalk cellars underground (5 to 20 years). Following the footsteps of his predecessors, Cyril Brun is today the “Chef de Caves” in charge of perpetuating the legacy of the House. From its foundation to present time, Champagne Charles Heidsieck has garnered a high level of distinction, underscored by its unparalleled commitment to conviction and integrity in winemaking. Over the past two decades, its Chefs de Caves have been awarded “Sparkling Winemaker of the Year” no fewer than 12 times by International Wine Challenge. In 2016, Charles Heidsieck has received 19 Gold Medals and has been ranked the 6th most admired Champagne House of the world by Drinks International.
The distinctive aromatic white wines of Sancerre are grown on limestone and clay hills bisected by the upper reaches of the River Loire, in a near continental climate where their best Sauvignon Blanc are certainly finer and more complex wines, than anywhere else in the world. This is the only wine that may be sold under the exclusive name ‘Chateau de Sancerre’, owned by the Societe des Products Marnier-Lapostolle, it is an estate-bottled wine. The grape juice is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks after which the wine is aged on fine lees for a minimum of 6 months.

The Climbing labels are inspired by the high elevation of the Orange region. Our hero Henry is scaling the heights of our single estate vineyard over 600m with local Mt Canobolas in the background. The newly illustrated wrap label includes an embellished circus ticket with serrated edges honouring the history of the travelling circus in the region and surrounding areas. Climbing wines exhibit intense flavours courtesy of lower yielding vines set on ancient soils, extremely cool nights and carefully nurtured viticulture.

Biodynamic wines grounded in earth. At Gemtree we have been gifted the opportunity to work a unique patch of the earth in South Australia’s McLaren Vale. By respecting and nurturing this land we harvest high quality, flavourful grapes each and every vintage from vineyards farmed with care. Our organic and biodynamic credentials have roots as deep as our decades-old vines because we firmly believe it is our responsibility to improve the land for future generations. Healthy soils lead to a healthy ecosystem and that rewards both us and you with the gems from which we craft our fine wines.
Growing up in Germany as the sons of a stonemason may not be the most likely start for the founders of a New Zealand winery, but when you look closer, wine is practically running in Theo, Alex and Marcel Giesen’s veins. For centuries, their family members have been involved in the culinary and wine trades, as sommeliers, restaurateurs and other related careers. As youths, the boys had a hobby vineyard that first ignited their interest in grapes. Today, we’re proud to have operations throughout the Marlborough region. Our company is built on the brothers’ shared passion and family values – every member of the Giesen Wines team works together on building and maintaining the reputation of the Giesen name worldwide.
The Sippery are excited to welcome Gordon Ramsay wines to our online wine shelves. Led by taste and not tradition this pioneering, cross-regional contemporary Italian wine range has been crafted by Gordon Ramsay and renowned Italian winemaker Alberto Antonini.
Grandin is the hallmark of success of a noble family, wealthy landowners since 1585. Alfred Grandin left his profession for viticulture and, in 1886, founded at Ingrandes-sur-Loire the Maison which still bears his son’s name today: HENRI GRANDIN. Never short of ideas, the ever enthusiastic Henri Grandin helped develop, together with his cellar master, the ‘Méthode Traditionnelle Henri Grandin’ from white wines of the region, in the tradition of the Loire Valley’s wines: fresh, elegant wines leaving an after-taste of floral and citrus fruit aromas on the palate.
Chris Hancock first worked a vintage in McLaren Vale in 1962, beginning a lifelong attraction to the countryside and wines of the Southern Vales. Chris has a vineyard quite near the village of McLaren Vale, a special place that took half a lifetime to find. Old vines, some more than 80 years of age, are planted on a south east facing slope, protected from strong winds and facing the gentle moving sun. Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon vines are planted in three distinct soil types at the top, middle and bottom sections of the hillside, so we find different characteristics from each block, giving added complexity and interest to the wine we make.
Henkell is the international star and best seller when it comes to exporting German sparkling wine culture. The radiant and characterful brand can be found globally in more than 100 countries whenever life’s finest moments are celebrated. It all began with an idea. Mainz wine merchant Adam Henkell discovered the fine art of champagne-making in France. Back at his home, he successfully managed the “marriage” of the French art of cuvée and the art of German cellar-mastery. In 1856, he started making outstanding sparkling wine following the French example and this marked the beginning of a unique success story. Famous all over the world for quality of life, enjoyment and virtuoso sparkling wine production, even at the end of the 19th century, Henkell was an export pioneer and market leader and, in the 1950s, it played an important role in the German economic miracle. Back then and today, the best base wines and perfect technical skills of German and French cellarmasters guarantee its inimitable flavour and consistent high quality. Modern enjoyment, rich in tradition: Henkell is a successful meeting of both.
Keith and Alison Hentschke researched for years to find out where the best red grapes were produced in the Barossa Valley in South Australia, asking winemaking and viticulture experts and using an old 1950s soil map of the region sourced from the Department of Agriculture. Eventually, in the 1990s they found Hentley Farm – an old farming property on the banks of Greenock Creek at Seppeltsfield with the sought after red-brown soils of the Western Barossa and a remarkable diversity of soil types, aspects, and altitudes. With shattered limestone subsoils which don’t take up too much water, they knew it was a special place with a variety of terroir that could produce exceptional wines. Hentley Farm produces premium quality single-estate and single-block wines from the vines grown on its Seppeltsfield property – an old 150 acre vineyard and mixed farming property. Specializing in rich, elegant, Barossa Shiraz, Hentley Farm also produces other varietals including Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Viognier. With such a key focus being on the vineyard, ensuring our agricultural and environmental practices are sustainable is a key element of what we do. We consider ourselves as ‘winegrowers’, with our winemaking accentuating characteristics of the vineyard from vine to bottle, but we also hold close to our hearts the belief that wine is to be enjoyed and therefore have worked hard to create an environment conducive to that goal.

A Superiore DOCG wine, La Gioiosa hails from Valdobbiadene, the best region within Veneto. Prosecco is the most popular wine of the far eastern Veneto, with worldwide demand for this delightful sparkling wine so great they enlarged the production area and renamed the variety ‘glera’ registering ‘prosecco’ for themselves. La Gioiosa represents the tradition of winemaking, which the Moretti Polegato family have been carrying out for three generations, and it is in perfect symbiosis with the land of Prosecco and the Montello and Piave wines. The very name pays tribute to the old definition of the province of Treviso, Marca Gioiosa et Amorosa (Joyous and Amorous March) underlining the sociable lifestyle of its inhabitants. La Gioiosa is a name that is immediately associated with the typical wines of the Treviso area, and it represents a modern company that offers excellent quality
Laissez-Faire means ‘let it be’ and this reflects our hands off approach. Whilst we’ve learnt from organics, biodynamics and natural wine practices, we’re not dictated by one school of thought. We don’t subscribe to dogma. You could call them natural wines, but we like to think of them as ‘post natural wines’. We believe in healthy and sustainable vineyard practices, and a winemaking transparency with as little as possible between the vine and finished wine. Whereas a lot of wines presented as ‘natural’ can be sourced from chemically cultivated vines without accountability, we grow all our own grapes. Our Grenache and Syrah vines are dry grown. In the Laissez-Faire winemaking, there’s no added tannin, or acid, or animal fining products. There is zero sulphur used throughout the winemaking, with only a minimal amount at bottling. And whilst copper is allowed in organic viticulture, we use minimal copper treatments. We’re using alternate varieties and blends to make naturally balanced wines. From vine to bottle, the wine takes its course, hands free.
Maison Lorgeril, a family enterprise, was founded in 1620 in the South of France, between the Rhone Valley and the Pyrenees. Since 1987, Nicolas de Lorgeril, from a tenth generation family of winemakers, and his wife Miren de Saint Chamas, have been expanding their business beyond Château de Pennautier, the family’s historical birth place. Passionate about winemaking, they have selected the best terroirs in the Languedoc and Roussillon areas (with chalky, brown and black schists, gneiss and sandstone soils) at altitudes raging from 200 to 400 meters above sea level to temper the Mediterranean heat and sun, allowing a slow organic maturation of the grapes and the development of gentle and smooth aromas.
In 2020 Kylie launched Kylie Minogue Wines exclusively with London-based distributor Benchmark Drinks. In just over 2 years the brand has achieved remarkable success with a portfolio of 9 wines including the best selling Signature Rosé and Rosé Prosecco in the UK.
With multiple awards including two golds in the prestigious Drinks Business Wine Awards and distribution in over ten countries the brand is going from strength to strength.
Mateus was the first Portuguese wine brand to be loved the world over, appealing to different tastes and cultures and recognised in the farthest corners of the world. Today Mateus is enjoyed in 125 countries and has been for many decades. The history of Mateus Rosé goes back to 1942, when Fernando van Zeller Guedes created and launched an entirely new concept – a wine of strong personality and unique taste presented in an unusual, innovative bottle. The bottle was first inspired by the hip-flasks used by soldiers in the First World War, creating a shape that stood out in a crowd of tall bottles. The label, unusually elegant and innovative for the period, was an ode to its rich Portuguese background. But inside the iconic bottle, there was a new kind of wine, something different – pink, refreshing, slightly sparkling and extremely versatile.
Established in 1891, the estate has been farmed by six generations, embracing regenerative practices. Guy’s great-great-grandfather and his son Arthur planted the first Shiraz and Cabernet vines. The estate's 14 rows of Cabernet Sauvignon, planted in 1891, are the world’s oldest familyowned Cabernet vineyards.
In 1887, master winemaker Francesco Mionetto opened the winery in Valdobbiadene, in the heart of the Prosecco area, just north of Venice. His love and passion for the region and its wines are still to this day a fundamental value for this unique winery. Mionetto has become a flagship for the area and a shining example of Prosecco production on the international scene. From the very beginning, Mionetto has always been a modern and innovative winery able to anticipate trends while maintaining at the same time a strong bond with the traditions of its homeland, a feature which still today sets it apart from other sparkling wine producers.
The Mirabeau story is one of following a dream and the pursuit of a deeply held passion for wine. In 2009, after 10 years of talking about it, we decided to swap our lives in South London for a new beginning as wine producers in the South of France. Armed with big ambitions to make a world-class rosé wine and willing to challenge established wisdom, we founded Mirabeau. Since then Mirabeau has collected some of the most prestigious wine industry awards and we’re delighted that people enjoy our wines all over the world. Provence is famous for making the best rosé wines in the world, and they have notched up some pretty good experience having made it since 600BC. Mirabeau’s main focus is on making delicious, dry pink wines that will be a perfect partner to a huge variety of food and almost any occasion.
Nestled in the hills edge on the outskirts of Mudgee, Montrose is the region’s pre-eminent winery. Situated at over 500 metres and with soils of ancient red clay loam of volcanic origin, the Montrose vineyards deliver distinctive high quality grapes that with careful nurturing create wines of outstanding varietal character, complexity and balance. Montrose was established in 1974 by Carlo Salteri and Franco Belgiorno-Nettis, Italian engineers with a love of fine wine. During the 1980’s the intensely flavoured and deeply coloured Montrose Shiraz was called “Black” Shiraz by its fans. Over the years it has won numerous awards and accolades and is now widely regarded to be one of the region’s greatest red wines. In the early 1990s Montrose pioneered Australian Chardonnay internationally, having the number-one selling Chardonnay in the USA – a reflection of Mudgee’s early adoption and success with the variety. Meanwhile, Montrose winemakers developed the multi-award winning Stony Creek Chardonnay – noteworthy for its terrific structure and extraordinary ability to age. Today, as the region’s largest winery, Montrose combines traditional winemaking techniques with state-ofthe-art technology and equipment to produce exemplary regional wines under the custodianship of the Oatley family.
It is with our Pedestal range, now encompassing a number of vineyards from north to south Margaret River that we seek to uncover and express sub-rationality in this part of the world. From cape to cape, the region stretches 100 kilometres. This maritime climate has two contrasting ocean influences. In general terms, northern Margaret River is better suited to red wines with its slightly warmer Indian Ocean influence whereas southern Margaret River is better suited to whites and the cooling influence of the Southern Ocean breeze. Here we show images of Margaret River that are aromatic and vibrant, not heavily oaked. Pedestal raises the fruit expression above winemaking construct.
Pioneers of unconventional tradition. Our commitment to every stage of the winemaking process starts with the health of the vines through composting, single branches and managing the canopy coverage we stay hands-on across the vineyard and we are continually mindful of the changes that occur here and how we can adapt and target our approach to achieve wines with intensity and elegance. Qualities that are only possible when making wine at cool temperatures at our high altitude location. If we’re resorting to tricks then something clearly went wrong on the way from the vine to the bottle. A cool climate region can be defined as an area with heat degree days of 1600 or less. Cool nights in the growing season, large diurnal variation, long cool autumns and distinct seasons are also key factors in defining a cool climate region. Orange is one of a handful of regions in Australia that fall into this category. Orange is unique among these regions due to the cool climate being the result of continental conditions rather than latitude
The Pike Family patriarch, Henry Pike, emigrated from Dorset to South Australia in 1878 aboard the HMS Oakland. He settled in the small town of Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills and in 1886 established a family business called Pikes Dorset Brewery. Subsequently this business became known as H. Pike & Co. and the Pikes name became known throughout South Australia for its quality beer, ales, soft drinks and cordials and its famous Tonic Ale. From the outset, Henry Pike used the striking English Pike fish on all his beer labels and we have continued that tradition on all our current products – a symbol of Pikes long heritage, now spanning three centuries. H. Pike & Co. was unfortunately sold in 1972, but this did not end the family tradition. By this time, Henry’s great grandson, Edgar Walter Pike, was well established in the wine industry as a private vigneron and vineyard manager for a large propriety wine company. Edgar’s sons (Andrew and Neil) both entered the wine industry after graduating from Roseworthy Agricultural College and have established themselves in their respective fields of expertise (Andrew in viticulture and management and Neil in winemaking and marketing). With the assistance of Edgar and his wife Merle, they then established ‘Pikes Wines’ in 1984 at ‘Polish Hill River Estate’ in the Polish Hill River sub-region of the beautiful Clare Valley in South Australia. The first Pikes wines were released in the Spring of 1985 and we have since been making and marketing a range of premium table wines which reflect the region, the vintage season and the varieties grown.
Symbolising the timeless tradition of sharing wine between good friends and family, the ‘Pikorua’ represented on our label is a Maori eternity icon traditionally given as an offering of friendship. It resembles two (‘rua’) intertwined pikopiko ferns – the pale green new-growth frond that thrives in shady, damp areas of New Zealand’s woods. The ferns represent two people travelling their own path of life but always coming back together because of their strong bond.
In 1785, Florens Louis Heidsieck founded his House with the great ambition to “create a cuvée worthy of a Queen.” Piper-Heidsieck wines emit a range of flavours and colours to delight the senses, both unique and diverse, this is a collection which unveils the bold facets of an exceptional champagne. Today the Piper-Heidsieck maison remains true to these ambitions. To meet this demand for excellence Émilien Boutillat now leads winemaking for Piper-Heidsieck and Regis Camus, eight times winner of the Sparkling Winemaker of the Year (International Wine Challenge), who orchestrates the crafting of the exquisite Rare Champagne.
Our pocketwatch wines pay tribute to the late Bob Oatley’s great great grandfather James Oatley (1770-1839). One of Australia’s early convict settlers, James was a master watch and clockmaker who was soon pardoned by Governor Macquarie, appointed Keeper of the Sydney Town Hall Clock and commissioned to install the still functioning turret clock in the pediment of the Hyde Park Barracks. As part of his remuneration he received a number of land grants from Governor Brisbane, including a 300-acre lot that is now the southern Sydney suburb of Oatley.
The Robert Oatley Signature Series draws on a remarkable portfolio of vineyards nurtured by the winemaking talent of Larry Cherubino showcasing Australia’s most successful wine styles and regions. Bob Oatley’s mantra was that all wines should be a “darned good drink”, and the high quality Signature Series delivers immediate appeal, with satisfying flavours over an elegant frame. Each wine embodies the grape varietal and region in which it was grown. Multiple award winners, the whole range consistently scores over 90 pts from Australian and international critics.
Finisterre: [Ends of the Earth] - Our constant pursuit of quality finds us among the great viticultural regions of Australia, each offering a unique combination of earth and climate, allowing vines to flourish and produce fruit with great balance. Hand harvesting, fruit sorting and intuitive winemaking delivers wines with clarity, purity, great texture and flavour expression.
Competitive success is rewarded in a myriad of ways. For wine it may be a gold medal, in sport, a pennant. Both indicate excellence. Striving for excellence in wine growing strikes a balance between the natural attributes of the land and uncomplicated winemaking. Sometimes the greatest effort is required to strive for simplicity, with detailed attention in the vineyard, an uncompromising approach to fruit selection, uncomplicated winemaking and naturally, the benefits of a great season. The greatest prize is when this is reflected in the glass. The late Robert Oatley’s prestige range, The Pennant scores highly with the critics. Extremely limited releases.
Showcasing a special selection of wines from our best vineyards, these are hand-made, limited release wines in every sense. Each wine embodies the favoured characteristics of its grape variety and region.
Rockburn takes its name from the rugged, rock-strewn, burn-scarred landscape of Central Otago, a region which is renowned for its stunning scenery of rugged mountains and picturesque lakes. Nestled on the 45th parallel, the climate could not be more dissimilar to Burgundy, the great Pinot Noir producing region of the world. Our vineyards are bounded on the west by mountains on whose seaward slopes are rain forests, which receive 5000mm of rain a year. To the east is a barren, moon-like landscape that receives less than 25mm of rain a year.
Inspired by the rolling hills of Orange, New South Wales, “Rolling” wines are sourced from the above-600m elevations of our single estate grown vineyard where cool temperatures coupled with bright sunlight produce fruit of incredible colour and vibrant flavours. Our Rolling wines are easy drinking as a stand-alone aperitif or a great companion with food. The label iconography sees our heroine Beatrice and her faithful dog Cirro exploring the rolling hills of the single estate vineyard throughout the distinct cool climate seasons.
Building on the Rymill family’s history of pioneering within the Coonawarra region, our modern winemaking team has taken up the challenge to handcraft the very best expression of what the unique terra rossa soil and cool climate of Coonawarra can deliver. The Rymill Coonawarra philosophy is to make wines of finesse, power and balance from only our own estate grown fruit. We are proudly 100% family, 100% Coonawarra and 100% estate grown. Channybearup, Bimbimbi, Riversdale – within each of these vineyards is The Yard: the place where we break ground in single vineyard wines. The magic of wine is its ability to express provenance. This is why, for us, making wine means growing grapes. It’s much harder to improve the vineyard than it is to employ a change in winemaking technique. From the big things like traveling the world in the hunt for grape clones which we believe would be well suited to our vineyard sites, to the little things like dropping the height of the cane from 1.2m to 400mm, every step counts. We don’t use herbicides. We employ fish and seaweed applications. We make our own compost to support the whole vineyard biology. It’s not just about better water retention, but about healthy soils with good microbial activity. It’s a whole ecosystem thinking to make healthier, disease-resistant vines. Continuous within The Yard is our work to translate and transmit terroir.
